Dr Elsie S. K. Chan lectured in universities in Hong Kong, Macau and China in Computer Sciences and Information Systems before she migrated to Australia in 1994.  She continued her teaching career and has taught in a number of universities in Melbourne. In 2000, she was granted a PhD scholarship at Deakin University, and was conferred her PhD degree in 2004. On 12 January 2004, she joined Australian Catholic University as Lecturer in Information Systems in Melbourne campus. She was awarded teaching and learning project grants during that period. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Business in 2008. She coordinated ACU School of Business international programs for Hong Kong and Philippines for a number of years. She became a CPA and CA member in 2012. Currently she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate accounting units and developed an online Accounting Information Systems for undergraduates. She focuses on teaching and learning for students' engagement in learning. Since September, 2016, she is Peter Faber Business School Campus Coordinator (Melbourne).
