Biographical Information

Dr. Abdur Rouf has got graduate degree in Medicine (MBBS) with post graduate qualifications in Medical Science (M.Phil.Path; MCPS Cli. Path). He has also qualification in Higher Education (GradCert.HE) and holds Membership/Fellowships of National and International professional bodies (MAIMS, FASCP, FAcadMEd) in the field of Medical science, Pathology and Medical Education.

He has been working as a University academic in the field of medical science over a period of decade and has extensive experience in teaching medicine, dentistry, nursing and other allied health science students along with clinical work of histopathology, cytology, haematology and research. His research interests include primarily in the experimental carcinogenesis and prevention, early diagnosis of cancer, cardiovascular & oral health, histopathology & cytology and medical education.

Dr Rouf has had special interest in Medical Science education, so opted to join University teaching since after his post-graduation and continuing till day. He has a passion to make teaching & learning interesting, effective & integrated leading to development of a sound basic knowledge with analytical skill and professional competence in the relevant field.

Dr Rouf also has wide experience in participating/presenting in various National and International workshop/seminar/congress related to pathology, cytology and medical science education.
