Patrick Keyzer (pronounced Kay-Zer) has thirty years of experience as an academic and practising lawyer, focusing on human rights, public law, access to justice and criminal justice. At present Keyzer is working on a project investigating the use of restorative justice principles to mitigate climate change harms in Indonesia, and on a book reflecting on Australia&rsquos record of non-compliance with decisions of the United Nations Human Rights Committee.

Professor Keyzer has consulted extensively to industry over a thirty year career as a lawyer, including to Federal and State government departments, corporations and NFPs, and to individual clients.
 
As an advocate Keyzer has have appeared as counsel in many cases in Australian Supreme Courts, Courts of Appeal, the High Court and also the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
