Education as Dreaming: Developing an innovative culturally supportive learning environment

Lead: Chrissy Monteleone Team: Miriam Tanti, Monica Wong, Danielle Dent

This teaching and learning project aims to reconceptualise the delivery of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) Away from Base (AFB) by developing an approach that honours the Dreaming, that is, an approach that pays respect to and is inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being. This entails an interdisciplinary approach that will be innovative, culturally supportive and provide a holistic environment for students to develop the knowledge and understandings to become exceptional teachers and role models while exploring and developing their cultural identity and personal wellbeing.
